Diploma of Screen and Media (Animation)

The Diploma of Screen and Media (Animation) is designed to provide students with job-ready skills in 3D animation principles and practice, including scriptwriting, storyboarding, modelling and animating 3D characters and environments.

Qantm students undertaking the Diploma of Screen and Media (Animation) have access to industry-standard software and hardware, experienced instructors who are experts in their field, and a learning environment that has earned and retained powerful links with Australia's leading games and animation companies.

The Diploma of Screen and Media (Animation) equips graduates with the practical, hands-on skills that are required for entry into the animation or games industries. A strong focus throughout the program is on the development of a comprehensive showreel, which is essential in gaining employment on course completion.

The Diploma of Screen and Media is offered as a one-year, full-time face-to-face course at each of our campuses, and is also available via flexible delivery online.

Graduates of the course may also receive advanced standing into the Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment (majoring in Animation) if they choose to pursue further education as a digital animation artist.
